Mr. Reid, director of the planning division of SEMCOG at the time of his retirement in 1972, as born in Rochester, Indiana, on July 30, 1902. After receiving a B.A. from DePaul University in 1927 and a B.D. from Union Theological Seminary in 1932, Reid spent a year on a fellowship at the London School of Economics and than did a year of graduate work at Columbia.
